My teacher had us start are paragraph 8 different ways and I'm stuck on the definition. The topic is a life changing event. It could be like a saying, put preferably a word.
What is another word for life changing?
LOVE
What is another word for life changing?
life-altering
paradigm shifting
epiphany

How do I change the kind of question im asking?
I dont know how to change the topic of my question. I asked a question on what i should do about my family and relationship problems, and it came out as a Diet and Fitness...How can I change that?
How do I change the kind of question im asking?
when you ask the question do not put it in the suggested category, you can browse the other categories, there is a browse tab there and choose the family and relationship category. yahoo only picks up on key words when you ask so it's the wrong category most of the time.

Have the topics changed for the high school math teachers Praxis exam?
The Test at a Glance brochure on the ETS Praxis site has a new copyright date, but I can't see if anything has really changed except the color? Is there a change on the topics? This is for exam 0061.
Have the topics changed for the high school math teachers Praxis exam?
Hi.
I emailed the guy who runs www.praxisiimath.com
He says he went through the old and new brochure thorougly and the only thing different he found is a new statement, %26quot;This test may contain some questions that will not count toward your score.%26quot;
He says the topic list, the approximate percentage of each topic on the exam, and the 25 sample questions are unchanged.
He did say that they changed the font. So the Praxis guys are just messing with our heads :)pc or mac listview bug

Did I do the right thing by just changing the subject?
I had been talking to a guy friend and asking him advice on a situation with a guy who likes me but I'm interested. So I asked my guy friend advice on how to tell the guy or how to handle the situation and at first he was giving decent advice but seemed a bit unsure of what to say. Six months ago this guy friend had rejected me saying he 'wasn't ready for a relationship' but we have a platonic relationship now. I sent in the email saying 'im sure he'll take things the wrong way. I took it the wrong way when you told me you weren't ready.. sometimes I think you can't be totally honest with people in these situations.' then I started talking about something funny the guy said.. well my friend just didn't reply and it's been 4 days so I decided it was uncomfortable for him and just sent another email changing the topic and asking how his christmas was.
Did I do the right thing by just changing the subject?
Yeah it was probably a good idea but if he still does not email you back then I dont think he is a true friend
Did I do the right thing by just changing the subject?
yea that was a good thing to do.if he fealt uncomfortable about the fisrt messaging then he got the second one hell still know u care and feel a little comforted
Well sometimes changing the subject is a way to deal with things you dont wanna deal with. You're ignoring the situation, changing the subject isn't gonna make the problem go away. ..makes it seem like you dont care when you do.
well... Lets say Bob is the guy you were looking at for advice and Chris is the guy that likes you, and you are interested in him. I understood it as You liked Bob before and he said that he isnt ready for a relationship, and now that you've moved onto Chris. Bob doesnt want to give you advice because he is interested in you again?
If thats the case, and you know Bob better then this Chris character, go with Bob, but if he's just being a douche and doesnt want you to have a boyfriend, go for Chris. It was kinda confusin, so next time explain in detail =). I understood it as i explained above so my advice would be that.
It was a smart idea to change the subject, cause if it's that delicate to Bob, then ye give em time to talk. He Should email back.

What is your strategy to win arguments?
yelling?
crying?
discredit the other debater?
change topics when you are about to lose, then accuse the other debater of changing topics?
cite that you said so?
my strategy is tell them to Google it, when there is no PC around. jk
What is your strategy to win arguments?
discredit the other debator. It works every time :D
What is your strategy to win arguments?
Reverse psychology ;)
Use reason and logic and avoid emotion. Don't argue state the facts.
descridet other debate then use extra infrmaton on my side, and as a desperate measure change toppics
just tell the arguer to shut up cos u dinny even like them
Keep them on the point and never let them wriggle out of it with humour, discrediting etc.
these !
Her: blah blah blah
Me: Says you lol
support my argument with as many reliable sources there are
Insist that I'm right and they're wrong, disprove their argument, then just deny, deny, deny.
I like your strategy ahaha. But what if they have an iPhone? Then they could Google it right then and there.
Keep asking questions.
Persuasion.
by saying %26quot;ok, u win. i will let u win if u want it so Badly!%26quot; it may cause more anger from him/her but i dont care. if she/he picks a fight first, i will let him/her feel suffer by my words! words can speak louder than actions!
yelling and crying for children. and changing topics will make me look like im losing!
so, other than that and my words above, i may end up quiet cause i hate long lasting argument. so, i will give up first. if the rival is a smart person, she/he will know that im letting him/her wins to stop the argument. so, i will end up being a wise person.

Help needed on my nursery topic!?
our current topic at nursery is 'THE SAME BUT DIFFERENT' and im running out of ideas.. our topics change every 2 months and we only have a couple of weeks left and my brain has come to a standstill!!!! has anyone any ideas how i can achieve this topic with my group of 2/3year olds.... any help would be greatly appreciated!! :) Taz
Help needed on my nursery topic!?
Same but different: what an interesting topic. It must be hard for the young age but how about looking at the way sesame street used to do it with three of these things go together and one of these things
sqaure/triangle/rectangle.circle (straight shapes/round shape)
mustang/mini van/corvette....cement truck (personal/work)
wagon/car/tractor....wheel barrow (four wheels/three wheels)
play around with ideas of things that they have in their world
that they play with or eat or wear or places they go, rooms in their house, people they know (stranger danger can be worked in)
Good Luck and Have Fun what a wonderful age of learning.
Help needed on my nursery topic!?
Just off the top of my head - how about
BREAD! Rolls, sliced brown, white, toasted
or any food
PASTA - spaghetti, fettucine,linguine, lasagne
EGGS - boiled, poached, fried, omelette,
etc etc
same colour different shape?
What have you done so far??
But anyway, in this situation - whenever I'm stuck for anything to do - I ask the experts i.e. the children! They have much better ideas than we ever do.
How about standing a couple of the children side by side and pointing out the things that are the same, ie, two eyes, a nose, a mouth, two ears, that makes them the same, but one has blond hair, one has brown, one is wearing a t-shirt, etc, that makes them different.
If you have already done this I apologise, it's just we've done something similar at our school recently.
wow, thats a tough subject and although i have been in the field for over 15 yrs that is a tough one to do. i am not even sure if that topic is dev appropriate for that age group....i dont know if this site will help, but here is one of my favs...
http://www.preschoolbystormie.com/
http://www.first-school.ws/
Good luck
How about some cooking activities? Make some cookies or muffins or cupcakes together. Each child can decorate their own. Same cookies, but all will be different after they are decorated.
you all can do some cooking stuff! They would love to get dirty!
You should have given some ideas of what you have done in the past.
Hair - styles, length....pics from mags, newspapers, children's own drawn pictures
Noses - human and animals, again pics from mags etc

What does the topic of Climate Change being split along party lines say about political party loyalists?
a) They are mindless morons that view everything according to group think.
b) They are mindless morons that view everything according to group think.
c) Other
What does the topic of Climate Change being split along party lines say about political party loyalists?
d. None of the above.
Why can't we have good science prove it one way or another. Why leave it up to politicians. Let's get the proper science with proper techniques without falsifying data, without an axe to grind, with both %26quot;sides%26quot; present in the data collection and analysis and prove it.
What does the topic of Climate Change being split along party lines say about political party loyalists?
a and/or b..
D) the Earth is going to pay the price for the bickering of politics. Not necessarily because of climate change itself but because the debate over it has caused people to turn against Nature on political principle.
Its not split among party lines though, the two groups are:
1) American Republicans and
2) The rest of planet earth
Here's the rub: I am not sure I agree with cap %26amp; trade and while only a total idiot dismisses the idea of global warming completely, I am also not sure its entirely man made. But because Republiucans have decided to just make stuff up instead of tackeling the issues, I'll go ahead and support the Democrats. The Republicans have pushed the intelligent away, so screw 'em. They actually RELY on Americans being stupid and unable to understand basic science. Thats more insulting to me than the Democrats imperfect but honest efforts at solving the problem.
Oh, and the Republicans aslo ignore the fact that we are buying oil from fundamentalist Muslims who like to kill Americans. Thats moving beyond stupid politics and into treason in my book.
c)
Liberals are using junk %26quot;science%26quot; to try to fulfill their dreams of government control over all aspects of American's lives.
D.
Republitards want americans to be ARAB OIL DEPENDENT...
they have no interest in curbing big oil...fact
We could use your wording, but really no one understands it and so we turn to experts, and one political group wants to believe them and the other doesn't.
None of us can claim to be climate experts, few of us even have a decent understanding of local weather.
If Al Gore had not thrown has hat in that ring, it might not have been like this.
C
republicans believe what they believe solely to appeal to their base in a cynical attempt to return to power. That, and they get massive contributions from big pollution.
democrats believe what they believe solely due to scientific consensus.
There is no debate amongst climate scientists.
There is no controversy, except amongst the least knowledgeable (non scientists - average joe six pack)
I don't believe there is a divide along party lines. Climate change in the US is normal. It happens all of the time. There is no man-made global warming. People with good sense see that. People with their own agendas promote global warming to make money off of it.
C. Because conservatives do not believe in anything that might affect their pocket book.
b) They are mindless morons that view everything according to group think.
