As a junior in my high school I am required to participate in the National History Day. This years theme is %26quot;Innovations in History:Impact and Change%26quot;. What topic should I do? And what are some creative project ideas for different topics? I want to do very well on this.

Okay, how about this:
Pompeii ........It's a day in history
The impact and change? How about new studies then began in volcanic research and/or observation. A new field in science. I don't think the world volcano was around until Pompeii happened. Today there are all types of scientific fields that surround the study of volcano's.
You could set up a model of Pompeii and have a volcanic eruption over it.

US History: Go with the Cotton Gin. It's a predictable topic, but it had an enormous impact on American Industry.
