I'm writing a paper on stigma. Help me with my topic?

I was thinking about writing about Serial Killers and how they are able to hide their stigma and continue to kill without getting caught. For example many friends and family members of serial killers never saw it coming. It's almost as if they've learned to master being able to hide their stigma.

We can approach the topic in any way as long as we relate it to Goffman's book Stigma.

Does this topic make sense? I feel like I can't piece it together well...

Any suggestions or even topic changes would be great!

I always view the word %26quot;stigma%26quot; as related to things that have a reputation as inherently wrong or bad. Or symply an implied prejudgement of ones character due to something about them. It may have a broader meaning that I don't quite understand. It certainly is an intriquing word to get philosophical about.
