How does socialism relate to communism?

I'm doing a project for spanish and I'm talking about communism in Latin America. I have 4 group members and we will be talking about Columbia, Venezuela, Chile, and Cuba? Are these good choices. I read that Chile is socialist and thats the country I focus on. Should my group change our topic?
How does socialism relate to communism?
A socialist is someone who supports social changes to reduce or remove economic inequalities. Not all socialists will support the same changes or will oppose the same inequalities. Most socialists argue that the ruling classes and their allies exploit the working classes and their allies.

A communist is someone who supports common access to or common ownership of land, capital, and sometimes other goods. But communism includes two or three forms of socialism (such as Marxism and libertarian communism) with deep differences with each other.

In practice, socialism divides into two main camps, with communists and non-communists in each camp:

State socialism (including most forms of Marxism, social democracy, democratic socialism, Fabian socialism, Bellamy's model, Lasalle's model, etc.)

Libertarian socialism (including mutualism or individualist anarchism in the older sense, collectivist anarchism, anarchocommunism or libertarian communism, anarchosyndicalism, revolutionary unionism or industrial unionism in the Wobbly sense, council communism, autonomous Marxism, etc.)

Ask a Democrat
Idealized communism was never achieved, this is where govt ceased to exist and the theoretical abundance of goods was readily available for anyone wishing for them through the state. Wiki gets into the gritty details of such. Private property rights are abolished and the state owns and controls everything.
Yes.

1. Young Democrats worship Socialism.

2. Mature Democrats advance to Communism.

Both Young %26amp; Mature Democrats expect the Taxpayers to Support them.

They are raised that way from childhood.
liberalism leads to socialism, socialism leads to Communism,.....
id honestly use venezuela for a discussion over the other three, because whats currently going on there with hugo chavez is a socialist takeover leading to communism.

socialism always leads to communism, simply in the fact that they are run mostly the same, but there is no human in the history of the planet in charge that cannot be corrupted by power. socialism is where the government takes from the wealthy and redistributes wealth to the less wealthy, and communism is where everything is taken into the government coffers and redistributed to everyone once all previous funds were taken from the wealthy.

socialism always leads to communism, without fail.
