So, yesterday in Japan Obama was asked what he thought about the decision to drop?

the bombs to end the Second World War. So why can't he ever give a direct and clear answer? He was asked TWICE and both times he rambled on about %26quot;future Nuclear progress%26quot; and tried to change the topic to North Korea. So, why is he the ONLY President since 1945 not to answer clear and affirmative that dropping the bombs saved countless Military and Civilian lives on all sides?
So, yesterday in Japan Obama was asked what he thought about the decision to drop?
GREAT QUESTION!!! Mr. Equivicator does not love our Country nor it's history. He scares the heck out of me. I said this earlier, but Truman was the last good Democrat.

Patrick? You can leave off %26quot;cat%26quot;
So, yesterday in Japan Obama was asked what he thought about the decision to drop?
because he is a PUSSY cat
This really is a non issue in the big scheme of things.

But to address the content

I would expect that it still isn't a pleasant or proper item to talk about in Japan, regardless of what the action achieved.

Not saying that a Straight up answers is bad, just that it can be a tough question to answer if you are concerned about the consequence of the results.

So I don't really hold this specific item against him.
Obama is an idiot, what do you expect? I mean really, he gave the queen a freakin IPOD, wonder how thats working out for her
I would have said

%26quot;Japan is the one that attacked Pearl Harbor. What did you think, you can just make a sneak attack on the U.S. Navy, and nothing happens to you? You asked for it, you got it. End of story! Next question.%26quot;

If Obama couldn't give a straight answer like this, it proves he's still a clueless incompetent who got caught off guard TWICE without having a pat answer rehearsed and ready.
I think the question is multidimensional. The Japanese willingness to ask the question but not answer to the crimes they've committed against Southeast Asian civilians raises eyebrows. Obama does need to apologize the deaths of thousands of Japanese when Truman dropped the bomb. The Japanese should also own up to its crimes like the Nanjing Massacre in China, the killings of thousands of Phillipinos for resisting Japanese rule and the thousands of women forced to be prostitutes for Japanese militiamen. The Japanese government needs to stop whitewashing history and admit the atrocities they've incurred on other people. Just as it is rightful for Obama to assume ownership of the past, so too do the Japanese need to take steps forward in admitting their wrongful actions
he is doing the old, %26quot;present%26quot; thing and not trying to offend anyone on any side of the planet. so in other words he had no guts and now the japanese are looking at him in a very negative way for having no balls
1. Give a link.

2. If this is true, the person asking the question is in poor taste. Obama wasn't even born at the time the bombs were dropped... hell his parents were babies at that time. Not to mention that there is no good answer to that for him... if he defended the bombings WHILE IN JAPAN he would be insulting them, if he was apologetic then he would be insulting us.

3. Think.
Dropping the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki would be considered war crimes today.
